Thank You

My daughter is a Sparks leader (Girl Guides of Canada) and wanted to express her thanks to those who helped with her unit this year.  At a special ceremony for those moving up to Brownies she presented her assistants with a small token of appreciation and asked me to create a card for her.

The timing was right when I received my May Paper Pumpkin kit "Sentimental Rose".  I dug out card stock that coordinated with the Sparks colours of pink and blue and found some retired DSP that had words of appreciation all over it.  I used some items that are retired and some that are retiring and this is what I came up with!

I stamped the rose image on white cardstock and then fussy cut it out with my snips.  The white background piece behind the rose was made by using some blushing bride ink on a sponge dauber, adding the green leaves and using my Stampin Write Markers in green and blue to make the little flicks of colour.
The twine is from an old Paper Pumpkin kit and the embellishments (Candy Dots) are retired but still in my drawer!

Paper Pumpkin subscriptions are increasing by a minimal amount starting in June.  So sign up now with a 6 or 12 month subscription to save you some $.

Thank You - Pineapple Punch

This card is one that I made when showing my club members many techniques using the Stamparatus.  It was inspired by a card made by Angela Pyjas.
I love my stamparatus and use it when making multiples, wreaths and other fun techniques.

Perhaps you would be interested in my Monthly Card Club.  We meet once a month for 6 months starting in September.  Every night we learn a new technique and make 3 projects using our new technique.  We meet September, October, November, January, February and March.
Contact me for more information.... I still have a few spots available for this fall session!

Happiness Blooms

The Petal Promenade DSP makes it very easy to make a quick yet attractive card.  The photographic floral designs are so beautiful and make the flowers just look like you could smell them. Thus for this card I wanted to make the DSP the focal point with the sentiment in the centre.

The white stitched rectangle is stamped with Highland Heather ink and I just sponged the edges with a sponge dauber and the Blushing Bride ink.  The pearls were coloured with the Stampin Blends.

A Little Note

I am really going to miss the Gingham Gala DSP! It is such a great addition to projects and the colours really make you smile.
I chose to make a daisy using the Grapefruit Grove colour of the DSP.  Added some other elements like the neddlepoint image in the background, vellum to the daisy and of course Wink of Stella on the centre.
This card would brighten up anyones day!
