April Team Swap

Some of the members of my team took part in a card swap in April.  The theme was Easter or Spring.  I chose to make a Spring themed card using some of our soon to be retired items.

The pattern is like a quilt as you add pieces leaving a small border around each piece.

PPP Blog Hop - All the Little Things

Welcome to the Paper Pumpkin Possibilities Blog Hop!

The beauty of the Paper Pumpkin kit is that you can follow the directions provided in the kit to make the projects as they were designed, or use the supplies as a starting point and let your creativity run wild. On this hop we will be sharing lots of ideas with you on how to use the April Paper Pumpkin kit "All the Little Things".

These are the original projects:

This is my alternate project.
The supply list can be found near the bottom of my post.

I made this card using the envelope from the kit as my card front with the envelope flap as a focal point.
I used the stamp set in the kit to stamp the different colour flowers onto white cardstock and then fussy cut them with my snips. The sentiment is also from the kit stamp set. For embellishment I used the twine from the kit plus Basic Pearls.

This is the inside of the card. I used 2 strips from the card envelope that I used on the front of my card.

Thank you for joining us as we share with you the possibilities of Paper Pumpkin. Now hop over to my friend Charmane where you will find another great Paper Pumpkin alternate project idea. Follow the blog hop by clicking on the Pumpkin below.

Decorative Borders

Sadly the Inspired Thoughts stamp set is retiring.  It has some of the nicest sentiments in and I love the  font.  The sentiments are clear to read and not too large.  I used this for my sentiment on the card I am sharing with you today.

The Decorative Borders stamp set is also retiring and I used the floral spray from the set on this card.  I used the Stamparatus to get perfect placement of the spray on the top and bottom of my card front....another item that has been retired! Thanks to Karen Hallam for the card inspiration.

I used Stampin' Blends to colour the flowers and an embossing folder that is carrying over into our New Annual Catalogue that goes live on May 2nd!
