PP Blog Hop - January 2025 - Hearts for You

Welcome to the Paper Pumpkin Possibilities Blog Hop!

The beauty of the Paper Pumpkin kit is that you can follow the directions provided in the kit to make the projects as they were designed, or use the supplies as a starting point and let your creativity run wild. On this hop we will be sharing lots of ideas with you on how to use the January Paper Pumpkin kit "Hearts for You".

These are the original projects:

This kit has the supplies for 9 cards with matching envelopes (3 of each of the 3 designs). The colours in the kit include Flirty Flamingo, Petal Pink, Real Red and Champagne foil embellishments. Topped off with some little heart embellishments.

I made a few alternate projects for this kit.

Alternate 1

As soon as I opened this kit and saw the rows of heart for one of the cards I knew that I wanted to use the negative to make a card front.
I used Embossing paste to cover the 6 rows of hearts for my card front. I let it dry completely. Then with blending brushes added colour from light at the top to darker at the bottom, giving an ombre look.
I used the outline hearts cut with the Spring is in the Air dies. The bows, sentiment and heart shaped embellishments are all from the kit.

Alternate 2

This card is on a Flirty Flamingo card base. The Basic White piece is blended with Flirty Flamingo ink and spatters of Real Red and Flirty Flamingo. The Add-On die set (Spring is in the Air) was used to cut the heart shapes. I coloured some white twine with the Flirty Flamingo Blends and tied a bow. "Love" is from the included stamp set, embossed in Gold. The embellishments are Adhesive Backed Hearts.

Alternate 3

For this card I used the negative of the hearts and ink only to give the ombre look of hearts from top to bottom. Added some splatter with Real Red. The hearts are die cut using the Spring is in the Air dies. Sentiment is from the kit as well as the Red twine bow. Added some Adhesive Backed Gold Hearts.

The list of the products (other than those in the Paper Pumpkin kit) can be found at the end of the post.

Hibiscus Congratulations Card

My monthly Ladies Card group asked to make some Birthday cards.  We made a number of different ones and today I am sharing one using the Happy Hibiscus bundle.  This bundle includes a stamp set, and Happy Hibiscus Hybrid Embossing folder. (The dies can be embossed and die cut at the same time!)

The embossed background is subtle, but I think it is very pretty.  The flowers were stamped onto cardstock and then embossed and die cut at the same time using the Hybrid Embossing Folder.

The inside has a birthday greeting and a stamped flower and leaves to match the card front.

If  you purchase the bundle instead of ordering the stamp set and dies separately you will get a 10% discount.
