Artistry in Blooms

 Since May my team and I have been having a Card Swap every month.  It has been a great way to keep us all creating cards during this very different and for some difficult times in our city, province, country and the whole world.  

Some months we will have a theme or a card sketch but we have usually just made a card using current products to share with one another.  We also meet monthly for a Zoom meeting to keep in touch and keep current with all the updates from Stampin'Up!

Some day we will all be able to meet face to face but for now we have to manage using virtual meetings.

This was one of my swap cards using the Rainbow Glimmer paper.  I made an assortment using different colours to coordinate with the glimmer paper.

The Whisper White Crinkled Seam Binding ribbon is one of my favourites as you can colour it with your Stampin' Blends to coordinate with any colour that you need.  For this card I chose the Light Bermuda Bay to colour the ribbon.

Peony Garden Designer Series Paper

 I have always loved the colour combination of pink and gray.  There are so many shades of each of these two colours that can all be mixed and matched together.

Today I have made a card using both pink and gray that are found in the Peony Garden Designer Series Paper Pack.  This card really highlights the paper and used patterns in both colours.

I used the coordinating ink colours for my greeting and used a stamp set that is not from the Peony Garden Suite.  It shows how versatile many of our stamp sets are as it coordinates beautifully!

I have embossed a piece of Champagne Foil with the Subtle Embossing folder to give the piece some texture (looks like ribbon but has alot of shine!).

Dandelion meets Purple Posy

 I recently posted another card that I made using the Dandelion 3D Embossing Folder and today I have another one to share with you.  I have paired it with Puple Posy.

Some of the highlights of this card are hard to see due to the light colour of the paper and the vellum that I used for the embossing.  The Dandelion's have been covered with Clear Wink of Stella so they have some shine to them!

I used items from the Playing with Patterns suite....Ribbon combo pack and the Designer Series Paper.

Life Is Beautiful -Fall theme

 Well hard to believe but August is slipping away....only 2 more weeks left in the month that means the end of summer is near!

I haven't had time to play with some of my items from the new Mini Catalogue but knew I had to try this stamp set called Life Is Beautiful.  I have created a fall card using this set.

Hard to tell but the card base is Cajun Craze and then matted with Early Espresso.  Those are also some of the colours that I used for the stamped image.

Cajun Craze, Pumpkin Pie, Mango Melody and Cinnamon Cider are all colours that remind me of fall.  Originally being from the Eastern part of the country I am used to very vibrant fall colours and miss those here in Alberta.
