PPP Blog Hop - Fun in the Sun

Welcome to the Paper Pumpkin Possibilities Blog Hop!

The beauty of the Paper Pumpkin kit is that you can follow the directions provided in the kit to make the projects as they were designed, or use the supplies as a starting point and let your creativity run wild. On this hop we will be sharing lots of ideas with you on how to use the July Paper Pumpkin kit "Fun In The Sun".

These are the original projects:

These are the envelopes that are included with the kit:

The front of the envelopes:

These are my alternate projects.

I took apart one of the envelopes and used some of the blue envelope to make the water a larger area. I also stamped the greeting on a piece of the envelope. The scene is all attached to a piece of Basic White. I used the piece with the palm trees from the kit and the small piece of sand at the bottom was also from the kit. Stamped the starfish and the greeting with Early Espresso ink. Embellished with Iridescent Rhinestones.

This card base and front mat are Pool Party cardstock. I used the negative of the beach umbrella and the front colour piece of the envelope to trace the shape and then cut out with my snips. The pole is a small narrow piece of Early Espresso. Other pieces are cut from the kit pieces. I used a Blending brush and added Basic Gray ink to the chair. The greeting is also stamped with Basic Gray. Embellished with Iridescent Rhinestones.

I made this scene with the inside of the envelope. The clouds were made using the negative of the clouds, some white craft ink and a sponge dauber. The lower sand is made with the negative, Crumb Cake ink and a blending brush. The birds were made with a black marker. The starfish are stamped with Early Espresso.

The supply lists can be found near the bottom of my post.

Thank you for joining us as we share with you the possibilities of Paper Pumpkin. Now hop through all the great Paper Pumpkin alternate project ideas.

Translucent Florals Advanced/Avid Card

I took part in the great day long Stampin Up! event called "Creativity Now" a few weeks ago.

Today I am sharing one of the cards that is an Avid crafter version that we made as a group.  The presenter showed us all the steps and we put our card together as we watched.  This time they did a great job and showed the card twice from start to finish.

The stamp set used for this card is called Translucent Florals Bundle (#162253) and will be available in our new Mini catalogue that will be live on September 6th.  If you would like a copy of this catalogue please contact me.

For this card we still used the Stampin' Blends (both light and dark shades) to colour on the back of the vellum, but used the patterned vellum.  Then cut the 2 different flowers and leaves. The stamp set and coordinating dies will not be available until September 7th when the new Mini Catalogue goes live!

ICS Blog Hop - New Core Colours

Welcome to the Inspire, Create, Share Blog Hop for July 2023!  This month our theme is "New and Returning Core Colours".  We are showcasing at least one of the NEW CORE COLOURS:   Azure Afternoon, Berry Burst, Blueberry Bushel, Bubble Bath, Fresh Freesia, Lemon Lime Twist, Lemon Lolly, Lost Lagoon, Misty Moonlight, Pecan Pie and Pretty Peacock.

For my project I used 8 of the 11 New Core Colours and the new Online Exclusive Timeless Charm Bundle (162263)!

Here is the front of my card:

I used the dies to cut the coloured cardstock and I stamped some of the images with coordinating ink colours and die cut them using my Stampin' Cut & Emboss machine.
