Cherish the Season

The Cherish the Season bundle is the focus for todays Christmas Card!  I shose to use red, white, and silver as my colour palette.  The dies for this set are so detailed and I love that you can add the Holly leaves and berries right into your bell die cut images.

To add more silver to my card I used the Silver Foil edged cards & envelopes that have unfortunately been retired.  It made an easy card base by adding some Designer Series Paper and then my die cut images to the front of the card.

I cut the leaves from Garden Green and used the Red Rhinestone jewels to add the berries to the bells.

For the bows I used the Silver Bakers Twine (retired) and added Real Red reinker to colour it.  I found some retired Garden Green twine in my drawer, so I tied the 2 twines together to make the bows.

On this hop we will be sharing lots of ideas with you on how to use the
November Paper Pumpkin kit: "Jolly Gingerbread".

These are the original projects:

  • Kit contents can also be used to design traditional holiday cards, gift tags, and other paper projects.
  • Contents arrive in a collectible, special-edition box!
  • Project size: 2-1/4" x 4"
  • Envelope size: 2-3/4" x 4-3/8"

Here are my alternate projects that I created using this Paper Pumpkin kit. The extra supplies I used are listed below the Next button.

I made 3 small gift boxes using the gift card holders as the front and back . I cut them apart and the front was stamped using Cinnamon Cider ink. I used the cute candy embellishments that were included in the kit.

Clear Tiny Treat box that I added Cinnamon Cider ribbon (side view).

The holder that I made for the Treat Box on the right in the photo.
Cut cardstock 6-1/2" x 4".  With the long side across the top score at 2-1/4, 3-1/4, 5-1/2, 6-1/2.
With the short side across the top score at 1".  Fold on score lines and trim as above, assemble the box.

Side view once you have attached the Gingerbread house front and back.

My second alternate is a card that I made using the stamp set and heat embossing. I added a greeting as there are some great small sized greetings in the stamp set.

Sweetest Time

For todays project I used the Sweetest Time bundle.  I have to admit it was the dies in this bundle that caught my attention and thus here is one of my recent creations.  I think the dies on their own make for a very festive card!

I chose to use the Red Foil paper for the die cut pieces as it gave the card front alot of shine.  Using a very simple sentiment in Real Red adds just enough to the card front!
