Happy 1st Australian Birthday

This time last year we were in Australia!  We spent a month there, did some touring around, spent days at the beach, etc.  We had a wonderful time and cannot wait to get back there again for another visit.  The best part of the trip was the birth of our first grandson!  So, today we celebrate his first birthday, Australian style!

I know this bundle has retired but it will remain in my craft room as the animals are so great for him in Australia.  There is a new bundle coming in the new Mini Catalogue that goes live on January 5th that will be added to my craft room because it has a kangaroo in the set!

Happy 1st Birthday!

PPP Blog Hop - Beary Comforting

Welcome to the Paper Pumpkin Possibilities Blog Hop! The beauty of the Paper Pumpkin kit is that you can follow the directions provided in the kit to make the projects as they were designed, or use the supplies as a starting point and let your creativity run wild.
On this hop we will be sharing lots of ideas with you on how to use the
December Paper Pumpkin kit: "Beary Comforting".

These are the original projects:

  • Kit contains enough supplies to create 12 cards and coordinating envelopes.
  • Card size: 4-1/4" x 5-1/2" (10.8 x 14 cm)
  • Envelope size: 4-1/2" x 5-3/4" (11.4 x 14.6 cm)
  • Coordinating colors: Basic Gray, Calypso Coral, Cinnamon Cider, Daffodil Delight, Rich Razzleberry, Soft Sea Foam, Whisper White

Here is my alternate project:

I decided to make my card project with a Panda Bear.  I stamped the bear image from the Paper Pumpkin kit with Black ink onto a piece of Whisper White and coloured it with my Stampin' Blends to resemble a Panda Bear.  The frame around the White piece is the negative from the punched out piece of the original bear card!  The birthday package is from the kit as is the circular label.  I used a new Sale-A-Bration stamp set, available January 5th, for my sentiment.  For the additional products that I used for this card (other than the kit supplies) please see below.

Thank you for joining us as we share with you the possibilites of Paper Pumpkin.
Now hop over to Deb where you will find another great Paper Pumpkin alternate project idea!

Happy Hippo 1st Birthday Card

Today my niece's youngest is turning 1 and this is the card I made and sent off to her.  It features the Hippo Happiness bundle and I used some really fun and colourful Designer Series Paper as the focus for the card.

To be able to stamp the "hip-hippo-hooray" on the white panel I used my Stamparatus as it makes it easy to get the lines evenly spaced.  I carried over the same colours to the inside of the card also.

Happy Birthday Parker!
