PPP Blog Hop - Gifts Galore

Welcome to the Paper Pumpkin Possibilities Blog Hop!

The beauty of the Paper Pumpkin kit is that you can follow the directions provided in the kit to make the projects as they were designed, or use the supplies as a starting point and let your creativity run wild. On this hop we will be sharing lots of ideas with you on how to use the November Paper Pumpkin kit "Gifts Galore".

These are the original projects:

I added some coloured tissue paper (red and green) inside the clear bags as it made it easier to wrap a gift and keep it a surprise!

Here is my alternate project:

This is the card front using the stamp set and items from the kit . All I added was some coordinating cardstock, ink and gold pearls. I also added a gold star to the tree!

The products that I used are listed below.

Delivering Cheer

When I first saw the Whimsy and Wonder Designer Series Paper I saw the piece with the present patterns and knew that I needed to fussy cut some of them out for a card.  So I set to work using my Delivering Cheer stamp set and the Christmas Tree dies plus the Wonderful Snowflakes from the Whimsy and Wonder Suite.

Here is the front of my card:

My colour choices were taken from the colours used in the Whimsy and Wonder Designer Series Paper.

Here is the inside:

"Merry" Tidings & Trimmings DSP

I made this card a while ago when I really wanted to use my Tidings of Christmas Designer Series Paper along with the Tidings & Trimmings bundle from the Annual Catalogue.  The Designer Series Paper has some really great patterns for Christmas Cards.

I also used one of the other new dies from the Annual Catalogue - the Basic Borders dies! It makes such a pretty edge to the layer of DSP.   A stitched and scalloped edge all at the same time.

Christmas Front Door Card

Last week I participated in a Stampin' Up! Team Canada event and the fun part of the evening was creating a card using the dimensions that were supplied to us.  Of course everyone creates with their own choice of colour, stamp set, inks, die and embellishments.

This is the card that I made for my second card:

We were given all the measurements for the little pieces to add to the front door.  This card folds in from each side to the middle to resemble a front door.  I decided to emboss the 2 sides of the door and the little pieces to give it a wood grain look, then I used my blending brush and added some ink.  The little stockings are from a retired set called "Hang Your Stocking" and the coordinating dies.
