PP Blog Hop - Box of Sunshine

Welcome to the Paper Pumpkin Possibilities Blog Hop! The beauty of the Paper Pumpkin kit is that you can follow the directions provided in the kit to make the projects as they were designed, or use the supplies as a starting point and let your creativity run wild.
On this hop we will be sharing lots of ideas with you on how to use the
June Paper Pumpkin kit: "Box of Sunshine".

These are the original cards:

Inspired by Stampin’ Up!’s CEO Sara Douglass, this June Paper Pumpkin Box of Sunshine kit is here to help you #sharesunshine. When you’ve made all the cards, fill the box with yellow goodies, add the included adhesive label, address it to someone special, and brighten their life with a little sunshine!

  • Kit contains supplies for 8 cards and envelopes (2 cards of 4 designs)
    • Card size: 4-1/4" x 5-1/2" (10.8 x 14 cm)
    • Envelope size: 4-1/2" x 5-3/4" (11.4 x 14.6 cm)
Coordinating Colors: Basic Black, Bumblebee, Crushed Curry, Poppy Parade, Shaded Spruce, White, and Gold

Box of Sunshine Information: This kit includes extra pieces and stickers (including a sticker label) to help you create cards AND a Box of Sunshine filled with treats and goodies to send to a friend. (Treats not included.)

For my alternate projects I made a box and a bag using two of the card bases.  I want to share with lots of people so this gives me extra ways to share sunshine!

For the box I used the card base with both Poppy Parade and Crushed Curry.  This is what it looks like close up and with the treats that I put inside.  I used the supplies that came with the kit and added some ribbon that I coloured to match with my Poppy Parade Stampin' Blends.

For the bag I used the card base that was mostly Crushed Curry with a little Poppy Parade swirled throughout.  I used the supplies from the kit and added a piece of ribbon (from the Forever Greenery combo pack) that I coloured with my Mango Melody and Poppy Parade Stampin' Blends.

The extra supplies that I used for my projects are listed below.

Thank you for joining us as we share with you the possiblities of Paper Pumpkin. Now hop over to Lisa where you are sure to find a great Paper Pumpkin alternate project idea!

Artistry in Blooms - Hello Friend

I have been making projects using the Artistry in Bloom Suite from the new Annual Catalogue and this card uses most of the paper elements from the suite.  I did not use the embellishments but all the stamped images are from the stamp set.  Thanks to Anne Hile for this card inspiration.

I have already used up a whole package of the Rainbow Glimmer paper from this Suite so lucky I still had a small piece for this card!

For the flowers, I coloured the stamped image with the Bermuda Bay watercolour pencil (near the base of the flower) and then used my Blender Pen to pull the colour up into the flower petals.

Forever Fern

I cannot seem to get enough of the new Forever Fern bundle!

Here is another card that I made using this bundle and just love the fancy fold, all the fern pieces and especially the trim that is a part
of this suite!

The sentiment is also a great one....

I added some of the die cut elements to the inside and a special splash of the colours that I used.

Tasteful Touches Flower

I recently had my first Virtual Catalogue Release party on the Zoom platform.  I was pleasantly surprised that it seemed to go really well.  I was even able to share a technique with my attendees.  I made this card using a great new set called "Tasteful Touches" and the whitewash technique.

I stamped the flower onto the cardstock with Versamark and then added Gold Embossing powder.  I also added a greeting from the set and did the same as the flower.
Once they were heated with my heat tool it was time to work on the flower.  I used my water painter brush and some of my White craft ink to colour the flower petals.  Let it dry and then gave it a second coat.
Then I went to work with my 2 colours of ink and my sponge daubers.....a simple but great looking flower!
Add some coordinating In Colour ribbon and a few Gold pearls.
