Thanks - Magnolia Lane

This card was another from my Magnolia Lane card class.  I really wanted to use the colours that were in this suite but I found this card using a different colour by Kirsteen Gill and I adjusted it to suit my class.  Have to say that I am really enjoying the new Stitched Nested Label Dies too!

I love the layers on this card.  You first cut the front of your card with the framelit and then your front layer and then the DSP.  The stamps just make the curve look even better!

Soft Spring - Flowers

I have finally had a chance to play with some of my new stamp sets!  I have been prepping for classes, my IDEAS projects, and took part in a Canadian swap which have kept me busy with other projects.

This card uses one of the Hostess Sets in the new catalogue.  The flower images and 2 step stamping caught my eye and they could be in stamped in any colour.
I stamped the flowers on Shimmery White cardstock to give the card front some shine.
The piece behind my sentiment is cut with the Timeless Label Punch and then trimmed down on both sides.

Happy Birthday - Magnolia and Chalk Technique

I recently held a Magnolia Lane class and we made a variety of cards using the Magnolia Lane bundle and other sentiment stamps.  I also chose to feature a few different techniques for the class.

This card features the Chalk Technique using white craft ink as your "chalk".  There are many cards shown using this technique and I found this one so perfect from Jackie Bultje. Not really a difficult card but it sure looks great.  Use the white craft ink as paint with the aqua painter onto your embossed flowers and let it dry.  Then add petal pink ink to the centres with a sponge dauber.

This is the card we made:

A Little Smile-June Paper Pumpkin alternate

I am really loving the June Paper Pumpkin kit!  I made 2 cards for my grandaughter's bus drivers following the kit directions.  I have decided to make some full cards using the supplies in the kit plus other current SU items.
The palm tree theme and beach feel to this kit makes me Smile for sure.  I love the tropical feel (I grew up in Africa!) and some of my family live in Florida (on the Gulf of Mexico!).  So for me it is just perfect........

I used many of the supplies from the kit (June Paper Pumpkin - A Little Smile) and added some other items including cardstock, embossing folders, other framelits.  What do you think?
