Large Magnolia Flower - Magnolia Lane

For this card I used a piece of Designer Series Paper from another suite. The muted background on this piece of Perennial Essence DSP give a great background to the magnolia flower coloured with our Stampin Blends.
By adding a piece of the Petal Pink Organdy ribbon I have pulled the colour from the Magnolia flower petals to the front of the card.

The inside of the card has a sentiment and an added small Magnolia flower that is coloured with the Stampin Blends and cut out with the dies and added to the top of the Very Vanilla insert.

Beach Birthday

I made this alternate card using the June Paper Pumpkin kit (A Lttle Smile) and some other stamp sets and dies. This one was for my niece who lives in Florida and so the beach scene just fit!

The June Paper Pumpkin kit made small cards and I just used the front of the card for the sea and sky background. I added a full card base in Old Olive and a mat of Coastal Cabana. The Crumb Cake layer is embossed with the Subtles folder (which has become a favourite of mine!). Three of the elements are from the kit and the large sand dollar is from the Under the Sea dies using Sparkle glimmer paper. For the inside of the card I used the Perennial Birthday stamp set (not in photo).

August 2019 IDEAS Blog Hop - Butterfly Wishes

Hello - Magnolia Lane

I used a new technique to make this card using the Magnolia Lane suite. It is called a Buckle Card.
The magnolia flower on the front is cut from the Designer Series Paper using the Magnolia Memory Dies that are part of the bundle.

The black piece with the flower and word "Hello" (embossed with White Stampin emboss powder) opens to the right so that the card opens. You can add a sentiment or write a note to someone in the inside of the card.
