I have chosen to make a Father's Day card (which is celebrated on Sunday, June 19th in Canada). 

I have used the Home & Garden Bundle (#157919) from the January to June Mini Catalogue.  For my garage wall I have used the Linen Specialty Paper and embossed it with the Painted Texture 3D Embossing Folder.

Flowering Fields Tulips

The Flowering Fields Designer Series Paper in the current Mini Catalogue has the most amazing patterns of paper.  The paper can make the card on its own.... 

I found this card design online and I forget where I saw it but it is an easy card to put together as the paper makes the card!  You could choose any colour of cardstock for your card base that matches the tulips (Poppy Parade, Petal Pink, Pear Pizzazz, Pool Party).

Artfully Composed leaf card

I love everything about the tropics; the colours, foliage, sun and of course the great warm temperatures.  I grew up in the tropics for a number of years when I was younger and it is where I am at my happiest!

Today my card uses the Artfully Layered bundle plus a number of the other parts of this Suite. Thanks to stampitup with Jaimie for this card inspiration.

The colours in the DSP piece are accented by the choice of leaf colours for the front focal panel of the card, Coastal Cabana and Granny Apple Green.  Sadly the Embossing folder has been retired but there are many more to choose from to give the front panel some dimension.

Waves of the Ocean with Pelican

The Waves of the Ocean bundle was available to order from the new catalogue early and I definitely took advantage of the offer!  I love to swim and the ocean is my favourite place to swim or just be in the waves.

This card also has a beautiful Pelican stamp included and it reminds me so much of being on the Gulf of Mexico where my parents and sister live. Thanks to Cheri's Card for this card inspiration.

I was able to purchase the Blue Foils Specialty Paper pack which I used for the birds, and the embellishments (Waves Rhinestone Basic Jewels) which are no longer available.

May 2022 IDEAS Blog Hop - Paradise Palms
