Merry Christmas with Tree Punch

Another of our Christmas sets that came as a bundle with a punch last year in the Holiday Mini Catalogue was carried over in our Annual Catalogue.  It is a great way to make a Christmas card that is quick and is still attractive.

I made this card with a pop-up in the inside.  I used the tree that I punched out from the DSP on the front of the card for the pop-up element. It made a really cute card.

Joy to the World

I was so happy to see that the Feels Like Frost Designer Series Paper was carried into the Mini Catalogue for this season.  The fabulous photographic images can be used for any type of cards, and I chose this paper for my card today.

I made this card with an open space in the card front where I attached a small piece of cardstock to add the filigree die cut from the Christmas Layers dies.  The dies are part of the bundle that includes the Itty Bitty Christmas stamp set.

Christmas Poinsettia Card

The Poinsettia Dies that are in our Mini Catalogue are so versatile for making Christmas Cards.

Did you know that you can cut the outline of the flower petals and create the embossed image of veins on the leaves at the same time.  Just place the dies on your cardstock at the same time!

For this card I also used the Plush Poinsettia Paper which is so nice...

Did you know that you can colour on the back and it will show through onto the front!  I coloured the berries on the wrong side with a Real Red Stampin Write marker and the colour shows through to the front of the card!

I added a piece of Whisper White cardstock to the inside and a small strip of Real Red cardstock.  The white makes it easy to stamp another sentiment and to write inside the card.

Lest We Forget

Today is Remembrance Day.

On remembrance day members of the armed forces (soldiers, sailors and airmen) are commemorated.

All government buildings fly the Canadian flag this day and people remember those who fought for Canada during a two minute silence at 11am. Many people wear poppies before and on Remembrance Day to show their respect and support for Canadian troops.

ICS Blog Hop November - Trimming the Town

Hello and Welcome to the Inspire, Create, Share Blog Hop for November!

This month our theme is "Chrsitmas is Coming!" and we are sharing Christmas cards with you.

Here is my card front:

I have chosen to use the Trimming the Town Designer Series Paper for my card.  I used the image piece with the houses and trees for the front and the sentiments are also cut from the DSP!  The beauty of this package of Designer Series Paper is that you do not need a stamp set to make a card with a Christmas greeting in a number of different languages.

Here is the inside of the card:

I used another image piece of DSP on the left hand side and the greeting is from the stamp set "Wrapped in Christmas".

For the stamped image I used Stampin' Write Markers in Poppy Parade and Old Olive to colour the stamp and then "huffed" on the stamp before I stamped onto my cardstock.  I really like this greeting.
The supplies used for my card are listed below.

Don't miss any of the projects!  Follow along our blog hop with Candy as she will have a great project idea for you!
